One of my favorite musicians in the past few years ever since I picked up his Bear Family box set, here's a compilation of his best songs from the box set in a 2 disc version, sounding oh so good! You might know Piano Red for The Beatles' cover of Mr Moonlight, well he sounds nothing like that (though I included that song here) - he's more boogie woogie style in only a way a blind albino could play and sing it! This probably won't be up for long so grab it while you can for some real fine music - Dr Feelgood style!

Started with a Synth Series (Rural Faune) spotlight for the first hour that included some cds I physically bought from Bruno at Rural Faune (gasp!) and the girls marveled last week when the package arrived from France. Probably my last label spotlight.
Then played some Persian Electronic music, and ended with Tuluum Shimmering and Blues Control which both went well with the Persian Electronic music.

The Koppklys spotlight tonight sounded so good because I played it all in FLAC and Apple Lossless.
From an email from Fredrik, the guy behind Koppklys:
The label's just me, based in Oslo and it's only been active since this summer. It's something I've been thinking about doing for a really long time though. In a way it's kind of an extension of a music blog I've been running for about four years (http://uaxuctum.blogspot.com). I've been getting into the "tape scene" (if one can call it that) for the past couple of years, and I thought it'd be more interesting to put physical stuff out myself rather than just blogging about it. I basically assemble everything by hand. This is not a "tape label" per se though, I'm working on putting out the next Faxmaskin release on 12", hopefully sometime this year. Also got some other projects in the works, such as putting out a friend of mine's classical guitar record, which we are going to record in a large church from the 13th century. And a few more projects that are slowly coming together.
